Erythromycin belong to the macrolides antibacterial,the effect on gram-positive bacterium of this product is similar with penicillin,but the board antibacterial spectrum of this product is better than penicillin.The sensitive gram-positive bacteria include staphylococcus aureus(include penicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, bacillus anthraci, erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, listeria monocytogenes, clostridium septicum, Emphysematous gangrene clostridium. The sensitive gram-negative bacterium include hemophilus influenza, neisseria meningitides, brucella, pasteurella.Besides that,also have a good effect on campylobacter, mycoplasma, Chlamydia, rickettsia and leptospira.In the alkaline solution the antimicrobial activity of erythromycin thiocyanate increases,when the pH value from 5.5 up to 8.5,the antimicrobial activity increase.

The bacteria can easily develop high level resistance to erythromycin thiocyanate through chromosomal mutation,and the drug-resistant form can appear in the process of treatment,the drug-resistant of erythromycin thiocyanate mediated by bacterial plasmid is common too,mainly caused by methylation drug targets.The cross resistance of erythromycin thiocyanate with other macrolides and lincomycin is familiar too.

Pharmacokinetics

The erythromycin base and stearate to be taken orally can be easily degraded by gastric acid,the species,dosage form of the erythromycin base,the acidity of gastrointestinal tract and the food in stomach all affect its bioavailability,only the enteric-coated preparation can be absorbed better.After absorption can be widely distribute whole body tissues and fluids,but less enter into the cerebrospinal fluid.The plasma protein binding rate is 73%-81%.Small part of the erythromycin in liver metabolism to inert N- methyl-erythromycin,mainly drug exits unchanged in bile,only 2%-5% dose exits unchanged in urine.

Drug interactions

1.This product has the same action target with macrolides, lincosamides,do not use simultaneously.

2.Use with β-lactam antibiotics showed antagonism.

3.It has the inhibitory effects on the cytochrome oxidase system, combination use with some medicines may inhibit its metabolism.

Indications:

Used to treat the infectious diseases of chicken which caused by gram-positive bacterium and mycoplasma,such as staphylococcus disease, streptococcicosis, chronic respiratory disease and infectious coryza of chicken.

Usage and Dosage:

Mix drink:Each 1L water,chicken 2.5g. combination use3-5 days.

Adverse drug reaction:

Animal after taken orally often appears dose-dependent gastrointestinal disorders,such as diarrhea.

Precautions:

Egg laying period is forbidden,do not combined with acidoid.
